Winter Supper

This is our last weekend before we decree that Spring has sprung so we’ve decided to hold a final winter supper.  Three courses of winter warmers with an amuse to start.  A choice of starters, mains and puddings and a fire blazing outside.  Wrap up and join us for a cosy night at the club.

 

The Winter Starter

Our own homemade sausages

mini versions of our mergueze and toulouse sausages with dipping sauces

or

Spiced Halloumi (V)

Halloumi griddled and served spiced up with a touch of naga spice

  

Gourmet Winter Warmers

 The daube and dumpling

24 hour red wine marinated local beef, slow cooked with smoked bacon and garlic and topped with Roquefort cheese and suet dumplings

or

The drunkards chicken stew

Free range chicken flambéed in Armagnac and baked with Marsala wine, cream and tarragon with smoked goats cheese dumplings

or

The heaven and hell bean cassoulet (V)

Smoked garlic, salt and paprika infused beans and vegetables with a spiced cheddar dumpling

To Finish

The Strudel Waffle

Freshly made liege waffle with a plum, apple, raisin and cinnamon sauce and whipped cream

Affogato

Clotted Cream Ice Cream with a shot of espresso and a naughty nip of amaretto or brandy
