Taster Plates and Cocktails Night

It’s been a long week, you want someone to bring you a lovely glass of something chilled and little plates of delicious food until you shout ‘no more’! Okay, we hear you. Try this…

Round 1 – Bread of heaven

A whole table platter of our favourite starter nibbles including duck rillettes, beef carpaccio, naga prawns, artichoke tapenade, with a selection of lovely breads. 

Pairing suggestion – How about a long thirst quenching cocktail or one of our local brewery beers

Round 2 – Winter salads

Sticky duck salad with tender duck confit, leaves, sesame seeds, mooli, carrot, cucumber and a honey and tamarind based sauce

Or

Aveyronnais salad with wine poached pear, crumbled Roquefort, toasted walnuts, lambs lettuce and our house vinaigrette 

Pairing suggestion – Perfect with a kir royale bubbly 

Round 3 – Spicing it up….gently spiced flavours to tingle the palate for another cocktail..!

Lamb koftas or Roasted aubergine with smokey vegetable chilli. Both served with kartofel spiced potatoes with pepper, spinach and a mint Tzatziki. 

Pairing suggestion – A great round for a short, intensely flavoured cocktail 

Round 4 – Let’s get fruity

Cardamom and white wine poached pear with chocolate salted caramel sauce and toasted almonds

Or

Balsamic roasted plumbs with a honey and vanilla mascarpone cream

Paired suggestion –  ‘something for the road’. Mocktails for those who are driving or hard liquor for those with only a short amble!
