On the eve of St George’s Day we though it fit to celebrate local produce through the fabulous English culinary delight that is pie! Pie was thought to have been bought to England, along with aqueducts, central heating and roads by the Romans. St George, as a Roman soldier, would undoubtedly eaten his fair share of pie.
