A relaxed introduction to the unique grapes and wonderfully diverse wines of the Gaillac region and a delicious three-course meal of Aveyron regional cuisine.
Hathersage Social Club is run by Couth & Wurstlin and the Couths live in the Midi-Pyrénées. We love the wine and food of the region and we think you might too.
Come along and find out why our entire wine list comes from the Gaillac region of France. Gaillac is one of the oldest and most diverse growing regions in France and it produces some unique and wonderful wines that are rapidly going from unknown to appearing on many top restaurants’ wine lists.
This tasting event is being hosted by the Aveyron Wine Club and includes sampling of some personally selected Chateau-bottled wines that reflect the originality and quality of the region. We’ll talk you through why they are so special, what to look for when choosing a Gaillac wine and a few stories about the people and production processes along the way. A wonderfully laid-back wine tasting with a definite absence of pomp and ceremony followed by a three-course meal of Midi-Pyrénées specialties.
