Introducing spices that ‘foodies’ might not be too familiar with into one of our Friday night Supper Club 4 course taster menu; Sumac is a crimson, tangy, almost lemony spice. Zhug is a hot Yemeni spice that creates a really piquant version of a classic salsa verde. Whilst this is a set tasting menu for those with an adventurous spice appreciation we can provide vegetarian or house special menu choices with a little advance notice.

Mussakhan – our starter version of this Palestinian dish with onions fried in sumac with pine nuts, cooked with slices from slow roasted chicken breast on the bone and flatbreads to soak up the juices.
MAIN
Zhug Lamb – French trimmed lamb chops with herb spiced dressing, Tabbouleh salad with sumac and our club favourite Batata Harra potatoes
DESSERT
Muhallabiyeh- a cooling milk based pudding (think creme caramel) scented with orange blossom
