French Bistro Night

Ooh la la.  A relaxed French Bistro evening with home-style cooking in a cozy environment.  We’ll have a lovely laid-back sound track to accompany your fabulous food. This evening is by special request – a repeat play of one of our Paris Ciné Supper menus (see below), we may tweak slightly but this is the rough idea… Price Guide £29

 

 

 

STARTERS

Duo of mini French onion tartlets

Caramelised onion & chèvre blanc cheese and poached pear and Roquefort cheese

Duck & Roasted Belly Pork Rillettes

Slow roasted duck & belly pork made into a coarse pate with Hathersage damson gin & apple confit, served with herb toasts

 MAINS

Aubrac Daube

Local, best quality beef, marinated for 24hrs in Gaillac red wine and garlic and then slow cooked and served with traditional Aligot

Basque Seafood Parcel

Chunky cod, salmon and tiger prawns baked marinated in a rosé port, tomato and olive sauce and then baked in parchment. Served with Les Frites Maison

Vegetarian Cassoulet

Three-bean smoked paprika cassoulet with aubergine, pepper, courgette and sweet potato stack with grilled goats cheese and served with Les Frites Maison

Squeaky French beans with lemon salt and shallots for the table

A classic French dessert, cherry flan with a rosewater mascarpone cream

Pear Belle Helene Sundae

Poached pears, clotted cream ice cream and dark chocolate caramel sauce
