A night of gourmet seafood treats without the need for donning your sowester and heading to sea.

Amuse

Carpaccio of tuna

Espelette pepper coated tuna with a salad of beetroot, roasted shallots and orange

Choice of Starter

Intrepid Trademark IPA Cured Sea Bass

Sea bass fillets in a cure that uses local IPA beer served with a fresh horseradish coleslaw

or

Shell on king prawns

Prawns flambéd in armagnac and then served with locally smoked garlic butter…a taste treat

Pallet Cleanser

Apple and Iced Calvados Sorbet

Choice of Main

Monkfish wrapped in Parma Ham

with our creamy Amorican sauce (a deliciously intense infusion of fish stock, cray fish tails, Italian plum tomatoes, brandy, cream and spices), pan fried potatoes with a confit of apple and onions, French beans with lemon salt

or

Gourmet seafood lasagna

Layers of black pearl scallops, tiger prawns and wild salmon in a rich rosé port sauce followed by lemon, Aleppo chilli and baby leaf spinach, followed by fresh pasta, then a creamy parsley and white wine sauce and then an aged, salt crystal cheddar and sourdough crumb topping.

*prepared in a deep dish serving for the table

Persian Poached pears

Jo’s speciality slow cooked pears in white wine, cardamon, spices and served with honey and vanilla mascarpone cream

Our Bavarian Chocolate Torte

a decadent three layered cake with malted biscuit bottom, ganache chocolate middle and cream top with shavings of dark chocolate

A selection from our house cheeseboard
