When we’re fully booked people often ask us to recommend other places to dine but when you’re busy running a chef-patron model business you rarely, if ever, get a chance to dine elsewhere. When we first started we were determined to develop a French model where restaurants shut for a few weeks for a proper inspiration break. A chance for all staff to re-charge and an opportunity to go and indulge the passion the first led us to establishing the club, our love of great food experiences.
So here we are, five years on from first opening our doors and, finally, seizing the opportunity to take that break. During our close down, from 1st October to 15th November, we’re taking a bit of a tour and looking forward to trying out some fab foodie places right on our doorstep like https://peakdistrictdeli.com and http://themowbray.co.uk and the soon to be opened https://www.bankhousehathersage.co.uk. We’ve also planned a small break to France for some serious wine tasting (purely in a professional capacity of course) and then a small adventure to one of our favourite food destinations, Andalucia, for seafood in Cadiz, sherry in Sanlucar de Barameda and Jerez, the finest tapas in Seville and Arabic inspired fusion in Tarifa.
We promise to come back with some new recommendations, renewed zeal and some inspired new dishes to share with you.
