Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is the celebration or feasts before lent begins. With it’s origins in France and the French colonies (particularly New Orleans) our night will be a chance to wear an elaborate mask and have a traditional New Orleans/French Supper. This a night with sharing boards and dishes for the table with vegetarian options available on request (and served separately)

A thick shellfish stew made with a slow cooked, Cajun spiced sauce served with red bean and rice creole fritters

Jambalaya
The Atakapa tribe states the origin of the name. The original word “Sham, pal ha! Ya!” means “Be full, not skinny! Eat Up!” with a French equivalent of “Bon appétit!”. Spanish influence resulted in the current spelling of the name. Our jambalaya is made to a traditional New Orleans recipe but uses local ingredients.
