The Orthodox (or Unorthodox) Christmas Feast

A very unorthodox festive gathering, a final fling before you return to work.  Our feast has a nod to Russian Christmas (celebrated on the 7th January).  You can choose some Russian Christmas dishes (with a club twist) or just some of our favourite dishes.

Amuse

Hot Salmon and potato salad served with blinis and the clubs homemade frozen vodka shot

Starter

Borscht – Traditional beetroot soup with beef rib

Or

Roqeufort, pear and walnut tart with salad leaves and dill mayo

Main

Local Rare Beef Stroganoff – a fabulous club twist on this classic recipe

Or

Basque seafood parcel – cod, tuna, salmon, prawns pan fried and then baked in parchment in a espelette, red wine and tomato sauce

Or

Sweet potato and aubergine melt with a lightly spiced tomato, orange and rose port sauce

Dessert

Soft juicy prunes, soaked in marmalade vodka covered in dark chocolate and served on a liege waffle with ice cream and Chantilly cream

Roast plums with balsamic and pine nuts with honey mascarpone cream
