Couth Würstlin has partnered with numerous NHS and other health organisation partners to place the voices of service users, patients, families, and carers at the core of content creation.
We co-design with those lived experience working equally with health practitioners to bring authentic, respectful experiences and health information to life, celebrating voices that are often unheard.
Every project is tailored to the unique voices and needs of the communities involved.

What to Expect
Our collaborative approach supports people with lived experience and their support networks to create content that represents their views and can help others. Projects range from web copy and blogs to podcasts, videos, and interactive narrative explainers.
Why We’re Doing This
We believe storytelling is strongest when rooted in authentic lived experience, reflecting:
- Authenticity & Accuracy: Content reflects real needs and emotions, making it relatable.
- Empowerment & Ownership: Participants gain confidence and control through creative involvement.
- Relevance & Accessibility: Language and format are shaped to best serve the audience.
- Improved Outcomes: Genuine connection encourages engagement and better self-care.
- Trust & Respect: Co-creation builds lasting relationships between health providers and communities.
- Innovation: Lived experience sparks fresh, user-centered ideas.
- Reducing Stigma: Authentic stories humanise health conditions and foster understanding.
In short, co-design ensures content is created not just about people, but truly with and for them.
Our Approach
We listen deeply, adapt flexibly, and create safe, respectful spaces, blending storytelling traditions with new creative formats to suit participants’ needs and strengths.
Collaboration
We work as facilitators and partners with service users, families, carers, and organisations to create authentic, meaningful content owned proudly by those involved.
The Outcome
We helped young people with psychosis and their families create blogs and podcasts sharing personal journeys, aiming to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and build creative skills.
We also co-developed an award-winning website with people with learning disabilities and carers to highlight respiratory disease risks, ending with a celebratory Oscars-style ceremony recognising their work.
All of our Co-Design projects are more than just the media content created in itself— our approach builds confidence, community, and connection. Together, we turn experience into shared stories that make a lasting impact for participants and audiences alike.
We helped our clients win the odd national award or two as well!
